Viewpoint Creative Awarded Campaign For New Hallmark Channel "Mystery Movie" Series

Hallmark Channel has awarded Boston/Los Angeles based, Viewpoint Creative the promotional campaign and show opens for their new original mystery series "Hallmark Channel, Mystery Movie."
The series includes twelve contemporary, mystery genre films based on three separate story lines starring John Larroquette, Kellie Martin and Lea Thompson. The Viewpoint Creative campaign takes a contemporary, upbeat approach with the mystery genre. A series of shifting mosaics brings the viewer on a journey of sights and sounds revealing clues to the mysteries. The clues, in turn, divulge the personality and traits of the three central "Mystery Movie" characters. "Custom story lines were created to represent each of the 3 characters, personifying them in content and color brand," stated Joseph Kiely, Creative Director of Design.

"A combination of a four day, 35 mm shoot and still photography creates an incredibly rich landscape for these crimes to play out. We tease the viewer with rich iconic and emotional imagery of Seduction, Deception and Betrayal."Kiely continues, "The logistical challenge was to build a strong franchise that can live and grow with the series of movies, while still allowing each character to reside in their own unique brand. The solution was wrapping the franchise in an elegant black quadrant world, with the character's imagery and color palette defining the sub brands of the franchise."The integrated campaign was shot in Los Angeles by Viewpoint Director, Patrick Kiely. It includes TV, print and internet applications. Viewpoint Creative has a long standing relationship with Hallmark Channel including program packaging for "Crown Cinema" and more recently promotional spots for "Walker Texas Ranger".Viewpoint Creative is an award-winning creative services firm providing clients with an exceptional range of advertising and design solutions to promote their brands.
